I need to start listening to my own advice.
Well, something devastating happened. My boyfriend broke up with me. I'm having trouble adjusting. But someone wise told me today, that I need to stop talking to him. I want to be friends, but I guess from his perspective it looks like I'm just trying to get him back. In a way I do, but most importantly I want him to be happy. Sincerely, I do. .I care about him. But if says he's not happy with me anymore, than he shouldn't be with me.
Yea, I'm hurt. Most of the time I'm great, happy to be living, but sometimes I think about the moments we had, being in his arms, looking in his blue eyes, and being loved by the most wonderful person. That is what hurts me, and puts a ball in my throat. Like right now.
But as an adult, I have to learn how to bypass the hard things, and learn from them. Yea, we might hurt from something we truly wanted, but things happen for a reason. God never puts us through things we can't handle. I know I will be stronger from this. But I still want to be held.
To all my blog readers, don't be let down by the devastating moments, because we are too blessed to be depressed. I love all my friends and family, I still even love him. But our lives are full of love, and any let down, whether a relationship or anything else, we will all get past it. There is hope at the end of the darkness.
The mornings after he broke up with me were captivating. I sleep with my blinds open so the sun wakes me up. But a few mornings last week, the sunrise woke me. As i opened my eyes i saw the most beautiful gift that He has given me. As the sun rose that morning, the colors were truly captivating. I love the sunrise, and God knows that. He gave me the most beautiful give and hope for a new day. After every devastating moment when we feel like we are going to fall apart, we need to see that next beautiful morning because there is always a new day and always hope.
He is a great friend and I still love him, but I have hope for a new day.

Live and Love
Nothing is better than living and loving your life at the present moment. Being thankful for what you have and love towards everyone in your life. Since this semester began, I have learned to be happy with myself and not to worry so much about the things I can’t control.
Juggling everything, such as chemistry, meat science, working out, church activities, cleaning, and staying organized (and sane), has been a challenge. There came to a point in my life that I was so stressed out I got myself sick.
But after stepping back and looking at my life and how I’m living it, I realized I wasn’t actually living. I have been so focus on the future, worrying about getting things done ahead of time, and making sure everything I did was for a purpose. I wasn’t enjoying my life in the present; I was worried about enjoying life in the future.
Ladies and Gents , why aren’t we having fun anymore? We have been taught to be so focused on the future. Our society has evolved to be focused on saving and preparing for the future, which makes us always worried about things ahead of us. We will never have the chance to live if we don’t start right now!
Spend a little (now don’t get crazy), live a little and love a lot. Because these moments will only pass you by once.
Live your life for today.

Get Ahead, and Move Slow
YAY! So today I went to the Land O' Lakes Luncheon at Texas A&M. It was like an informational on potential internship opportunities. I had talk to some recruiters earlier in the year during October, here at A&M and in Indianapolis at the Nat'l FFA Convention Collegiate Career Expo. And I know I'm a little young to be applying to internships, but I was told it was never too early to start looking.
So I went to some career days, and some internship opportunities I was interested in was for Land O' Lakes Purina Feed, Cargill, HEB, Monsanto, and even Kroger. These internships looked pretty cool so I thought I would talk to them a little, give them my resume, and just learn about what I can do for them. Well most of the companies I talked to were looking for Junior and Seniors in college, so I told them (the honest person I am) that I was a freshman, most of them were shocked and told me that they were impressed. They said I was ambitious and very well put together for a freshman. I was excited and a little proud, I got to admit.
I made relationship with big corporate companies early in my college life. Dr. Fuller, who works for LOL/Purina, told me today that he was very proud of me and would be keeping an eye out for me. ME? an 18 yr old freshman, made an impression on a person who could be my potential boss in the future.
I believe I have FFA to thank for this. The FFA has made me the honest, business professional young entrepreneur that I am. Our leadership development coordinator, Blaze Currie, told us that we need to be taking advantage of the opportunities and relationships we can be building right now. I have learned from it, and I plan to help other members take advantage of their opportunities right now.
What do you really want to do in life? SPEAK UP! Go find that dream right now, and learn about what more you can do for them. You never know what kind of impression you can make on a person.
I am so excited about the relationships I have made with so many other people. I want to do so many things right now, and I know how to start. "Poco a poco, se anda legos." (Little by little, you walk a long way.)
We should take a jump start if possible, and learn to take it slow. Because if you want to finish everything so fast, you never have the time to enjoy life.
You can plant a seed now, so later you can have a garden, but don't forget to smell the roses.

Play Pause Restart
School is halfway through and have we even made a dent in the lives of others. I'd like to think so but, shouldn't we do better. This is a good time to pause and look at what we have done.
So far I have...
gotten a 2.88 at Texas A&M in my first semester.
visited on a few high schools in the Rio Grande Valley.
gone to Austin and got some Soderquist Training (which I believe has made me a better person)
slacked off in the Freshman Organization FLE. (I admit.)
sung in the choir a few times at church.
been dating an amazing guy.
gotten simply the aspiration to do more in everything in my life.
We all start out with such high dreams and goals and most of us turn out to be slackers. I admit.
I hate to be a slacker. And when I find out that I actually am, it hurts.
It stinks to find out that you could do so much better than you are right now. I could get better grades, do more things for FFA members, be a better girlfriend, be more active in FLE, and sing all the time at church.
But the greatest thing I've learned that you can do is a check up.
Check up on what your doing. Document what you have done and plan what you will do. This is my check up. And I promise to do better in all aspects of my life. You can always press the restart button and try again.
